12 March 2009, Thursday:
Yay, I managed to blog before I go to work.
You know, Betty gave me a rude shock when I entered the restaurant! I got there at 1844 and she said I was supposed to start at 1800, and asked why have I arrived late. It drove me to frenzy because I loathe being late for school or work. I was certain of my shift, but was afraid that there may have been last minute amendments and I wasn't informed. When I went to check my schedule, I realised Betty has duped me.
May Ann: Jean, you thought you late uh?
Jean: Ya lah, Betty lied to me.
Since Mon was there, I am spared from being the greeter.
Everyone on the floor was female, and I was the only Singaporean. Well, it always happen. Haha. Aunty Florence was the only female in the kitchen. Jun was doing coordinator. I think it is my first seeing Jun doing coordinator.
I find joy in inserting conversations into my posts. They bring life to my post and they make these memories more alive. So here goes..
Wong: Lynn.
Jean: Jean.
Wong: Oh. *Laughs* Jean.
Wong: You should work more often.
Jean: Why?
Wong: So I can remember your name.
See, Lyn, Wong misses you. Haha. All he thinks about is Lyn.
Wong: Jean, you tired or not?
(I thought he would repeat his whole Thai massage nonsense.)
Jean: No.
Wong: Okay. If you tired uh, tell me. I go scold Charie for you.
(I was wrong. Wong was more innovative than what I credited him for.)
Mon and I had to close A, B and runner ourselves, so we managed to divide our burdens equally. When she wanted to close runner, I thought it was her concealment of skiving. Guessed I was wrong, and I should be ashamed of myself.
I finished closing at 2248. So I was ahead of time. There were only Charie, May Ann and I left in the store. I gladly helped May Ann with the glasses when Farhan dropped by to say hi.
That's about it. So I am off to bed as I have to work tomorrow.
